We want you to know that the counseling team is dedicated to supporting your student academically, socially, and emotionally. This page includes a list of some of the ways the counseling team at Space Center will support your student, including information on normal SCIS/CCISD SEL curriculum and programming.

Individual Counseling & Student Support Groups
School Counselors are available to assist students with a wide range of personal concerns, including such areas as social, family, emotional, mental health, or substance abuse. A student may request to visit the school counselor’s office and parents may request resources from a counselor. In order to meet the personal needs of students, school counselors may also offer support groups on a recurring basis. If a parent/guardian does not want their student to participate in a support group, written documentation of denial of services will need to be provided to the school counselor.
Cardinal Values
At Space Center Intermediate, we promote and encourage students to demonstrate and practice the CCISD Core Values as we also build their leadership skills through the Leader in Me program with a focus on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens.
